Synopsis
The Vermont Humanities Council was looking for a logo that was sensitive to the common misperception that the humanities are a stodgy relic of the past, and yet didn't reject the organization's rich history.
This logo, designed on speculation and never used, met the challenge by combining a lower-case styling reminiscent of a Web address (modern), with the elegant yet readable script typeface and quill (tradition).
